Delivered in partnership with Sport981, Premiership rugby club Harlequin FC is currently looking to recruit a number of talented and motivated individuals to become part of its strength and conditioning team. The roles are part of a structured 12-month work placement and educational programme designed and managed by Sport981 that includes a series of training modules, mentoring and support to ensure you succeed during your time at the Club.

This fantastic opportunity to work at the highest level of English rugby has been designed for aspiring strength and conditioning coaches. Whether you are a recent sports science (or related) degree level graduate or you have experience in sports coaching, applying for this role is a perfect start to a career in the sport performance industry.

Please note that while fees will need to be paid to cover all associated qualifications and training, roles such as these are highly sought after as the successful candidates will gain hands on experience of working with Aviva Premiership rugby players, the sports science team and learn to apply new taught conditioning skills and training methodologies to help improve athletic performance.

As well as gaining practical experience at Harlequin FC, participants will become qualified strength and conditioning coaches through the 12-month fast tracked, industry renowned Sport981 Instructor Development Course (IDC) and combined development programme.

Through completing the placement and qualifications, participants will:

• Work alongside and learn from leading UK strength and conditioning professionals, sports physiotherapists and sports science teams
• Develop technical and practical conditioning skills through working hands on work with elite, professional and performance pathway athletes
• Learn and become qualified with some of the most highly recognised qualifications in the health, fitness, strength and conditioning sectors
• Learn the skills to develop and deliver strength and conditioning/ educational/ practical workshops to coaches, athletes and other instructors
• Enhance your CV and future employability through increased work experience and advanced conditioning certifications.
