NCCC Victorious

Congratulations to Mick Newel and the team at Nottingham County Cricket Club, coming home victorious after their first Lord’s one-day final win since 1989, beating  Glamorgan by 87 runs. Notts posted a score of 244-8 and Samit Patel then took three Glamorgan wickets in nine balls to set up the victory. A 99-run fifth-wicket stand between captain Chris Read (53) and Australian David Hussey (42) was the foundation for their total. Ajmal Shahzad and Stuart Broad then both chipped in with three wickets each as Glamorgan were bowled out for 157. Great result lads!
