GBR U23 Canoe Slalom: Alice picks up bronze at the U23 World championships…..

I got back from America a couple of days ago and am experiencing all the joys of jet lag!

The trip was amazing, and the course was really good fun to paddle. The heat wave and the fact that the river was actually warm made it quite difficult training conditions but ice cold towels and an icebox on the bank helped a lot!

The racing went well and I went into the finals in 6th place with a couple of small mistakes. I rectified these in the final and came a away with a shiny bronze medal!

Thanks for all your help over the year, the hard work has clearly paid off!

It’s back to hard training next week in preparation for the U23 Europeans in 8 weeks.
