From the initial screening and testing in Autumn 2008 I have thoroughly enjoyed every block of training each year whether it be hypertrophy, maximum strength or power phases. Training in a compeititive environment with coaches that are just as keen on my development as I am has been both enjoyable and rewarding. Initially the conditioning support was focused on improving my technical movements and addressing out any major mechanical imbalances. After this block I have gone through 3 years of maximum strength and power training as well as working on robustness and flexibility throughout to aid injury prevention. More recently following major ankle surgery there has been a heavy focus on rehab and getting back to a position to compete and lift. The quality of coaching has been directly reflected in performance gains since I started working with sport981 in 2008 with personal bests improving year on year both onfield and testing/screening. Screening now identifies only small corrections needed whereas in 2008 there were major movement imbalances. Since ankle surgery in June 2011 Sport981 have helped at every stage of my rehab, and am back playing my best within 6 weeks of returning to competitive hockey. Being a very focused, determined and ambitious athlete it is rare to meet coaches that are as determined about improving my performance as I am. Every member of the sport981 team that I have worked with over the last 4 years have been the appitamy of proffessionalism, and I have no doubt that without their support I would have not made the on pitch performance gains I have in the last 4 years, thank you.
